Featuring a skull & crossbones design, it measures 4" x 2.5" with a 12" stake and is crafted from sturdy 14-gauge steel. Available in pre-rusted for a weathered look, etched, or raw steel to develop a natural patina. Perfect for pirate-themed decor, Halloween, or unique garden accents.
Measures approximately 4.5" Wide & 2.5" Tall - Stake is an additional 12" long for a total of 14.5".

Raw Steel vs. Etched Steel vs. Pre-Rusted Steel
When choosing steel for your project, it’s important to understand the differences between raw steel, etched steel, and pre-rusted steel—each serves a unique purpose.
Raw Steel: This steel retains slag from the cutting process and the mill scale layer from manufacturing. It tends to rust more slowly due to these surface layers. It’s a good choice for projects where surface appearance isn’t critical right away, or when you plan to handle preparation yourself.
Etched Steel: Through an etching process, both slag and mill scale are removed, resulting in a cleaner surface that rusts more quickly and evenly. This finish is ideal for painting, powder coating, or creating a consistent rust patina.
Pre-Rusted Steel: This option undergoes a controlled rusting process using our custom Ironstone Steel rust finish. It arrives with a beautifully aged patina, making it perfect for gifts or projects where immediate visual appeal is desired without waiting for natural rust to develop. Because of the hand rusting prosses, each piece is unique and no two items are exactly alike.
Both the Raw Steel and the Etched Steel options are shipped without rust prevention and may experience additional rusting during transit. Choosing the right finish depends on your project goals and how much preparation or waiting time you’re willing to invest.

Every piece I make is crafted with care and precision at my shop in Northern California. I take pride in combining functionality with style, ensuring that my products not only look great but also stand the test of time. Being able to offer American-made craftsmanship is something I value deeply, and I love knowing that my work adds a touch of character and reliability to homes and outdoor spaces.
How it’s Made
Each metal piece is cut from American Steel in our shop. Our pre-rusted items are hand finished with a unique rust and clear coat. Due to the hand coloring process, each piece is one-of-a-kind.
